Sajith Jayasinghe, Ph.D. - Founder

Sajith (Jay) Jayasinghe is an Associate Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the California State University, San Marcos (CSUSM).  Jay typically teaches Biochemistry or Protein Structure and Function courses at CSUSM and has always had an interest in using technology to improve learning in the classroom.  At CSUSM he maintains a series of interactive web tutorials for learning protein structure and is also trying his hand at writing iBooks for biochemistry students.  In addition to dabbling in technology to improve teaching Jay also maintain an active research lab investigating the structure and function of proteins involved in the assembly of bacterial Curli.

Massy Karimi - ​Lead Software Developer

Massy Karimi graduated from the California State University, San Marcos with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2019. During his time at CSUSM he was a stem tutor and also began working on the MiRlinMol  project. He is now working full time as Lead Software Developer on the MiRlinMol project.

John Heido - ​Software Developer

John Hiedo is graduating with a bachelors in Biology and minor in CS in May 2020. He has experience in biochemistry and neurophysiology labs and has worked as a STEM tutor for 3 years.  His future goal is to attain a PhD in Biology and eventually join academia where he can continue to do research and teach. He first got involved with the MiRlinMol project in the summer of 2019.
